“As one of the directors at Crimsoune Club, my journey is based on the distinctive narrative of breaking through the glass ceiling within a family-run business. In an industry traditionally dominated by men, I assumed the position as the first female director, introducing the entire vertical of Marketing, eventually venturing into its Direct to Consumer business. This transition marked a departure from the convention, but I was resolute in my determination to contribute meaningfully towards the growth of this brand that was a brainchild of my father. While pursuing a master’s degree at the London College of Fashion, I was offered a path to career abroad, but I chose to embrace the uncertainty of returning to my family business. This decision bore the weight of proving my capabilities not only as a woman but also as a daughter of the managing director and a cousin to my fellow directors, my brothers. This unique journey of overcoming challenges has endowed me with invaluable experiences that have shaped my leadership perspective.

In the dynamic landscape of leaders, competition is inherent, irrespective of gender. However, being in a family business, the responsibility to uphold tradition while fostering innovation was amplified as I took over the responsibility of building a brand imagery that can resonate with the niche as well as the masses of the country and make sure the brand is available for people to purchase from right at their doorstep. This objective fuels my determination to excel, driving me to constantly hone my leadership skills and steer our brand toward greater heights. While challenges persist, I view each hurdle as an opportunity to strengthen my resolve and contribute meaningfully to our industry.”
