INDUS VALLEY AYURVEDIC CENTRE (IVAC)

“Eat food as medicine, not medicine as food, because your body is the output of what you eat and how you eat!”

The world is exponentially progressing with the profound support of technological developments. So are our work and study schedules! We hope you got the sarcasm right! Our work and study lifestyles are about long hours of sitting in one place in the wrong positions. No wonder issues like chronic back pain, irritability, neck pains, eye pains, obesity, fatigue, stress, poor concentration levels, and migraines have become so common these days. Here is when our ancient Ayurveda had a cure for all these problems with excellent therapies.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreProudly called the pride of Indian science, Ayurveda has been healing people with ancient practices and the warmth of mother nature. To take a pause from our hustling and chaotic lives, we have to indulge in practices that not only heal our bodies but also propel our souls to lead a purposeful life. Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre is one such eminent Ayurvedic-oriented medical center providing healthcare, wellness, and fitness services to people. Spreading its charms to over 25 acres of lush greenery, the Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre is well-equipped with 7 treatment rooms, a yoga hall (indoors and outdoors), a swimming pool, and a tennis court.

IVAC has etched excellence with its services like therapeutic Ayurvedic massages, herbal steam treatments, synchronized revitalizing massages, detoxification programs, weight loss packages, rejuvenation packages, weekend stress management packages, yoga, diet, and nutrition counseling. Various concepts of Ayurveda are being analyzed with the help of modern science, and new ideas are being created through instrumentation, ultimately leading to the further enhancement of IVAC’s Ayurvedic treatments. To create a healthy society, IVAC also conducts various health seminars and conferences.

It was an honor for the editorial team of Prime Insights to have Dr Talavane Krishna, MBBS, F.F.A.R.C.S (UK), the Founder & President of IVAC, for an interesting conversation intended to learn about the brand’s journey so far. The dignitary shared many impactful insights which we are about to read in today’s narrative.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreThe Visionary Behind IVAC’s Inception

The journey of gaining knowledge about Ayurveda started during the early teenage years for Dr. Talavane Krishan. Immensely inspired by his spiritual master, Sri Ranga, Dr. Talavane Krishan decided to pursue his academic career in this particular field. He completed his medical degree from Mysore University in 1972 and his post-graduation in the UK and Canada as a pediatric anesthesiologist. He then went on to practice in the USA for over 2.5 decades. Hence, it was in 1999 that Mr. Krishna laid the foundation of IVAC with his passion for propagating the potentiality of Ayurveda and yoga.

Dr. Talavane Krishan is a pioneer in integrative healthcare and a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and seminars. In San Francisco, he delivered a speech at the “World Medical Tourism Congress.” Extremely versed in the evolving landscape of global medicine, he has traveled throughout several nations. In 2001, he was presented with an award by the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) in Antalya, Turkey.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreSetting Benchmarks for Differentiation

Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre treats about 1000 inpatients (two-week average stay) per year. It also treats about 3,000 outpatients each year. While 70 percent of its guests and in-patients are from abroad, the majority come from the UK, followed by countries like the US and Japan. IVAC is helping people coming from 65 diverse countries with its quality-driven care. The center now plans to expand globally and make Ayurveda the most astute practice for healing.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreThe center also offers a full range of yoga therapies through highly qualified teachers. Many clinical studies conducted by experts all around the world have proven the benefits of yoga and meditation. It is now an established fact that yoga and meditation combined with an Ayurvedic diet could halt and even reverse over 90% of blocked coronary arteries. Yoga, meditation, and an Ayurvedic lifestyle are almost panaceas for a host of diseases. They also don’t have any side effects as compared to modern medicine or other alternative systems.

People who visit IVAC for the detoxification of mind and body are provided with simple, nutritious vegetarian food. The diet is customized to suit every individual’s health condition and heal their concerns from within. Chefs and doctors work in coordination to provide the most appropriate diet during one’s stay at the center.

At the Forefront of Changing Market Trends

“We keep updating ourselves constantly with the changes happening in our industry. IVAC actively participates in global seminars and conferences where the team gets to study the literature that churns out because of exchanging thoughts. IVAC is also leveraging trends like artificial intelligence to imbibe lessons that are relevant to us.”

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreEmpowering Employees

Employees are the narrow center of any organization, and it is no different for IVAC. All the employees and staff at IVAC are bestowed with good facilities and family-like care. Each one of them is treated with the utmost dignity and is trained to excel in their professional careers. IVAC follows a strict operating procedure. Every procedure is reviewed periodically, and employees are trained in their respective domains. A testament to IVAC’s optimistic work culture is that they still have many long-served employees who have been with the organization for 15, 20, or even 40 years.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreNoble Actions: Empowering the Marginalized and Underprivileged Youth

The Indus Valley Foundation (IVF) was founded as a non-profit organization to train and empower rural and tribal youth who couldn’t complete their education. Through this foundation, they are taught about the wellness industry and provided with reliable employment opportunities.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreThe Upcoming Initiatives

“As our vision is noble and practical, we believe the future of our business is quite bright. People are realizing the importance of prioritizing their holistic well-being instead of ignoring their health issues and simply addressing them as lifestyle consequences. Hence, we are planning to expand our reach across India and open many centers in different parts of the country, targeting urban areas the most. IVAC is also planning to introduce its own line of products (wellness and self-care) that are customer-centric and give them the results they expect. Our research and development team is working diligently in these areas. We also intend to expand the training program offered by IVF, as discussed above, across India. Moreover, we will also be launching our online training program with certification as an extension to it,” says the Founder & President of IVAC, Dr Talavane Krishna.

Indus Valley Ayurvedic CentreA Bouquet of Wisdom

The conversation with Dr Talavane Krishna was an absolute delight for our editorial team, and we are sincerely humbled by his entrepreneurial persona. We are moved by the mission IVAC is spreading and wish that they are able to change many more lives ahead. Expressing sincere gratitude to Dr Talavane Krishna, we asked the luminary to quote some words for our global readership panel. Here is what he has to say:

“If anybody wants to be successful as an entrepreneur, they must be honest, diligent, methodical, and try to do work with a lot of perseverance. There will be a lot of difficulties during the journey, and succeeding as an entrepreneur will demand immense patience. Having said that, you also have to pay particular attention to your health and wellness. Prioritize spending time with your family and consciously try to help the people around you. Making money should not be a target; you should be provocative about adding to people’s lives through your actions and stature. My humble message to everyone is to always keep your health above all else. Money will come as a by-product only if your body is in a balanced state to function properly.”
