Tata Power Solar

To begin with we have Tata Power Solar straight from the house of the TATA group. The company was founded in the year 1989 as a joint venture with TATA Power and British Petroleum Solar. Today, the company generates 2688 MW (megawatts) of solar energy. They are the biggest manufacturers and exporters of solar cells, solar modules, and solar power projects. Having reduced the carbon footprint by 15 million tonnes, they are promising a better future for the new generations.

Adani Green Energy

Headquartered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Adani Green Energy is another big player in the segment of green energy in India. The company holds a current project portfolio of 5.29 GW. They are prominent manufacturers and traders of solar energy and wind energy projects. Founded in 2015, Adani Green Energy has generated 5290 MW of wind energy and solar plants. In 2019, the company offered the historic investment of green bonds worth 362 million dollars to their foreign investors.

Jaiprakash Power Ventures

A subsidiary of the colossal Indian conglomerate- Jaypee Group, Jaiprakash Power ventures was founded in the year 1994. The company practices, develops, implements, and operates sustainable power projects in India. Some of the biggest projects owned by the company are the 300MW Baspa-II Hydroelectric Project in Himachal Pradesh and the 400 MW Vishnuprayag Hydroelectric Project in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. All the plants established by this private venture, are operated on river hydroelectric power.

ReNew Power

ReNew Power is situated in Gurgaon, Haryana, and holds an operational capacity of 5GW. An independent power producer, the company runs more than 110 high-utility solar and wind energy projects in India. Founded by Sumant Sinha in 2011, ReNew Power became the first Indian company to partner with Korea’s GS E&C in 2019. In 2021 they collaborated and merged with RMG Acquisition Corporation II and went public.

INOX Wind Limited

Next, we have an Indian wind energy service provider, INOX Wind Limited. Founded in 2009 by Devansh Jian, the company is a pioneer leader in manufacturing turbine generators and provides assistance in wind source assessments, power plant acquisition, and maintenance of wind power projects. They have three gigantic manufacturing units in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.

JSW Energy
