Google’s Creator, Larry Page
The world-famous and popular web browser, Google Inc. is the creation of none other than an American Computer Scientist, Larry Page. He co-founded Google in September 1998.
Larry was born in 26th March 1973 in Michigan to a Jewish family and his father was a computer science professor of Michigan State University. He did his schooling from Okemos Montessori School in Michigan in 1979. He graduated from East Lansing High School in 1991 and then attended the Michigan University completing his degree in Computer Engineering with Honors and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Later in 1999, he opted for a PhD at the Stanford in Computer Science and jointly worked with Sergey Brin for his research work in search engine algorithm. A tech explosion occurred in the year of 1998 when both of them together founded Google.
Google became a public company trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange as GOOG in the year 2004 on the 19th of August. Page was honoured with a title of Global Leader of Tomorrow by World Economic Forum and along with this, he was made a trustee of the X PRIZE board.
Larry’s success knew no bounds. He was again awarded an honorary MBA from IEI Business School for “embodying the entrepreneurial spirit and lending momentum to the creation of new business”.
It was like he was made to succeed at every point of his life. In 2004, he along with Brin was honoured with Marconi Foundation Prize which designated as the “Highest Award in Engineering”. It was in the same year, he was again honoured with the title “Person of the Week” by ABC World News Tonight.
Page also secured the fifth position of Forbes’ “The World’s Most Powerful People’s List” along with Brin in 2009. He was recorded to be the world’s 24th richest person and 14th richest man in the USA.
His contribution to renewable energy technology along with the creation of Google.org was remarkable. Later he also advocated hybrid electric cars and other alternative energy investments. He also utilized his talent in alternative energy companies including Tesla Motors.
Larry Page has always been addicted to success. His journey from an ordinary man to being the creator of Google Inc. has been perfectly mentioned in the Blue Mail Media. He unrolled the Chromebook in 2012 and later launched a Google company called Calico to improve human health by biotechnology. He started to work on Google X, presently called X that works on flying vehicles to provide internet connection to those who cannot reach it. This became a project and came to be known as Project Loon.
Google became a prime web browser to deploy its airborne WIFI. In 2017, on 28th of October Google was successful to provide free internet to Puerto Rico.
Presently, Larry Page is working on a project called the Cora, initially started by Kitty Hawk to deliver self-flying electric taxi. Astonishingly, Page became a billionaire at the age of 35 with Google being the turning stone of his life.
