Today, the Indian infrastructure sector is shedding its old “bricks and mortar” skin and evolving into a high-tech arena of digital twins, ESG mandates, and radical transparency. Prime Insights: What inspired your journey into executive leadership, and what key milestones have shaped your career?
With nearly three decades of leadership in Indian real estate and infrastructure at firms like Brigade and Ascendas, my journey evolved from executing complex developments to shaping institutional strategy. Witnessing the transformative power of urban infrastructure inspired me to found Infinite Building Technologies, a multidisciplinary platform focused on technical depth, financial discipline, and ESG-aligned growth.
Driven by a vision of integrated thinking, I transitioned from operational execution to strategic oversight. Today, as a governance-focused strategist with board certifications in corporate directorship and ESG, I specialize in capital efficiency and digital innovation. My focus has shifted from delivering physical assets to creating long-term stakeholder value and building sustainable, future-ready frameworks. By combining rigorous compliance with mentoring cross-functional teams, I strive to strengthen the institutional foundations of the industry, ensuring that every project contributes to both economic prosperity and environmental responsibility.
Prime Insights: What does “executive excellence” mean to you in today’s dynamic business environment?
Today, executive excellence is the ability to align people, systems, and decisions to deliver consistent results despite uncertainty. It is defined by these core dimensions:
Clarity in Ambiguity: Defining what matters, making logic-based decisions with incomplete data, and communicating actionable priorities.
Execution Discipline: Translating vision into trackable milestones and building systems that make sure to follow-through rather than “firefighting.”
Systems Thinking: Understanding how decisions in cost or design impact sustainability and quality, replacing siloed thinking with integrated solutions.
Technology Fluency: Identifying where tools like AI or IoT create real leverage and backing decisions with data over intuition.
Talent Leverage & Culture: Empowering high-ownership leaders and making accountability a performance multiplier.
Long-Term Value: Balancing immediate financial wins with 5–10-year lifecycle impacts.
Composure Under Pressure: Maintaining decisiveness and credibility during setbacks to avoid reactive, long-term problems.
True excellence converts strategy into measurable outcomes while keeping teams aligned and accountable.

Serving developers and institutional investors across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors, we provide development strategy, project governance, and ESG-aligned advisory.
Our mission is to lead in design management by delivering sustainable, efficient solutions to all stakeholders. Built on the pillars of capital efficiency, governance integrity, and sustainability, we optimize asset value through disciplined execution and digital integration. In an evolving regulatory landscape, we empower clients to achieve high-quality project delivery while maintaining financial rigor and environmental responsibility.
Prime Insights: How do you balance innovation with operational stability and long-term business growth?
Innovation and technology are fundamental to our growth, acting as essential enablers of governance, efficiency, and asset performance. In capital-intensive sectors, we use digital systems like ERP and real-time monitoring to enhance financial transparency, mitigate risks, and accelerate data-driven decision-making.
By integrating cost analytics and value engineering tools, we optimize lifecycle costs and strengthen capital stewardship. Furthermore, technology facilitates precise ESG measurement and regulatory compliance, providing the transparency required for effective board oversight. From agile methodologies to sustainable materials, innovation is embedded in our strategy, allowing us to scale responsibly and future-proof assets in an increasingly complex environment.
Prime Insights: What challenges have you faced as a woman in a CXO role, and how have you navigated them?
In male-dominated sectors like infrastructure, I navigated underrepresentation by establishing credibility through technical depth, data-driven consistency, and outcome-focused leadership. Overcoming unconscious bias needed persistent execution, eventually shifting the focus from perceptions to results.
Today, my priority is influencing the system. I strive to build merit-driven cultures that prioritize capability as the primary differentiator. By mentoring diverse talent and encouraging inclusive decision-making, I aim to transform these challenges into opportunities for more resilient, high-performing leadership environments.
Prime Insights: Was there a turning point or major challenge that shaped your mindset as a leader? Please share.
A defining turning point occurred while leading complex, multi-city developments at Ascendas and BSCPL. Facing simultaneous cost pressures and regulatory shifts, I realized traditional execution wasn’t enough. I pivoted from reactive management to proactive governance, focusing on structured risk mitigation and digital integration.
This experience instilled three core lessons: capital requires disciplined protection, governance must be proactive, and integrated teams outperform individuals. This shift drove me to master ESG frameworks and board directorship, ultimately transforming my philosophy from delivering projects to building resilient, governance-led institutions.
Prime Insights: How do you foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance across teams?
Building high-performance cultures requires clarity, structure, and integration. I focus on three levers: clarity, ownership, and consistency. By defining precise success metrics, we eliminate ambiguity and align teams with broader project outcomes. Assigning single-point responsibility, supported by data-driven reviews, makes sure of proactive accountability.
To break silos, I integrate cross-functional teams early, moving from reactive fixes to collaborative design. Leading with transparency and fairness builds the trust necessary for sustained performance. Ultimately, I strive to create an environment where collaboration is natural and excellence is expected, not enforced.
Prime Insights: What role do data, technology, and digital transformation play in your decision-making process?
Data and digital transformation are critical decision accelerators in complex infrastructure projects. By integrating real-time dashboards and cost analytics, I move from reactive to proactive management, identifying risks before they escalate.
Digital tools provide the transparency and predictability essential for governance, but the real value lies in translating these insights into action. While data informs the process, I rely on leadership judgment to make sure that decisions remain practical. Ultimately, technology ensures scalable, accurate, and outcome-driven results by aligning functions.
Prime Insights: How do you ensure alignment between different business functions to achieve organizational success?
Functional alignment requires a designed approach focused on three levers: shared outcomes, integrated planning, and clear accountability. By replacing isolated KPIs with common goals, I ensure all departments move toward the same objective.
Early collaboration between design, procurement, and execution identifies interdependencies before they become conflicts. Supported by structured governance and data-driven reviews, this framework ensures predictable delivery. Ultimately, transparency and decisive communication during trade-offs turn complex interdependencies into a cohesive, high-performance execution model.
Prime Insights: What strategies do you use to manage change and drive transformation effectively?
As CEO, I approach transformation through structure and discipline. It begins with clarity of vision, defining the “why” to provide direction. Leadership alignment is non-negotiable; transformation must be owned at the top, not delegated.
I break large initiatives into executable phases with measurable milestones and clear ownership. Consistent communication manages resistance, while “quick wins” build momentum. By embedding changes into systems and performance metrics, I make sure that they sustain. Ultimately, successful transformation shifts the organization’s core mindset and behavior, turning strategic intent into operational reality.
Prime Insights: What are your key priorities and vision for 2026 and beyond?
Over the next three to five years, Infinite Building Technologies will evolve into a premier, governance-driven infrastructure advisory firm with a presence in India and selective international markets. We will focus on three strategic pillars: deepening board-level governance and risk oversight, expanding ESG and digital integration capabilities for real-time performance monitoring, and forming strategic partnerships with institutional funds and REITs.
Rather than chasing volume, we will scale through value and impact. I envision the firm as a trusted partner known for safeguarding capital and enabling sustainable, future-ready development by strengthening the institutional frameworks of the built environment.
Prime Insights: What advice would you give to aspiring women leaders aiming for executive roles?
For aspiring women leaders, I would emphasize three things.
First, build credibility through competence and consistency—deep understanding of your domain and reliable execution will always set you apart.
Second, seek stretch opportunities. Growth rarely comes from comfort zones, so take on roles that challenge you, even if you don’t feel 100% ready. That’s where leadership capability is built.
Third, develop confidence in your voice. It’s important to contribute, take positions, and be part of decision-making conversations without hesitation.
Equally important is building a strong support system—mentors, sponsors, and professional networks that can provide guidance and perspective.
And finally, be patient but persistent. Leadership is a long-term journey, and consistent performance over time is what ultimately breaks barriers and opens doors.
Focus on capability first—when you consistently deliver, credibility follows. Don’t self-limit; take on opportunities that feel slightly beyond your comfort zone. Be confident in your voice and perspectives—they matter more than you think. As you grow, help others—leadership is about widening the path for all, not just reaching the top.
