Santosh Kumar Sahu
Did you know India is one of the world’s biggest food producers, and they lose almost $13 billion worth of crops every single year because they have nowhere cool or dry enough to store them? It’s a staggering fact: we produce enough to feed hundreds of millions, yet a large part of that hard work disappears into thin air—or rather, into heat and humidity—before it ever makes it to a dinner plate. This huge, ‘hidden’ industry of warehousing is the only thing standing between a bumper harvest and a national waste. It is one of the highest-stakes games in the Indian economy today.
The warehousing and logistics segment of agriculture is now undergoing a huge structural transformation. The sector, historically defined by fragmented players and traditional storage methods, has evolved to become a high-stakes domain of technological integration and infrastructure scaling. Agri-tech is booming, and the call for global supply chain standards is heating up competition, with companies racing to cut post-harvest losses and provide frictionless farm-to-market connectivity. In this fast-moving landscape, efficiency and trust have become the currency of survival and growth.
Gogreen Warehouses Pvt. Ltd., a powerhouse in integrated agri-value-chain solutions, is spearheading this change. The team is led by Mr. Santosh Kumar Sahu, Executive Director and Co-founder, who has a passion for the agricultural ecosystem at its core. An OUAT and DAIICT alumnus, Mr. Sahu co-founded Gogreen in 2018 and brings two decades of experience with Reliance Retail and Godrej Agrovet. He is driven by a mission to solve real-world problems for farmers and follows the philosophy that sustainable impact matters more than running operations. The company has transformed from a traditional storage entity into a modernized leader in the agribusiness space since taking the helm.
Gogreen Warehouses is a full service provider that bridges the gap between harvest and consumption. The company offers a sophisticated suite of services that includes integrated warehousing, cold chain management, commodity financing and stringent quality control. Gogreen provides transparency and confidence to all stakeholders, from small farmers to large companies, through digital monitoring systems and automated inventory tracking, supporting the country’s agriculture.
