LOADMATE Industries is a leading manufacturer of overhead lifting equipment. The legacy has continued for the past 34 years. Our major products are manual & electric hoists, EOT cranes, JIB cranes, & Goliath cranes.
Prime Insights: Brief us on the company’s inception story.
LOADMATE was founded by Shri. R. K. Garg in 1991 with just a single product, the manual chain pulley block. As stated by him, the resources were very few, but the opportunity was very big at that time. Starting with one product and just by himself, he gradually built today’s LOADMATE Empire with the widest product range and employing more than 500 people on a direct or indirect basis.
Prime Insights: How have you kept a balance between your personal life and professional one?
Do not create a demarcation line between personal and professional life. If you think about balance, you will unknowingly create a limitation in your mind for both parts. They both exist in cohesion. That’s the secret.
Prime Insights: Being a CEO, is your story of struggle any different from others?
We have a bigger vision for which we plan and which we execute. If things work well, we continue; else we review and we improvise. Work is never a struggle; in fact, working on the challenges is the best part. So the answer is. We don’t have any struggles.
Prime Insights: What kind of clients do you serve? Any special mentions?
We serve a diverse client base across all industries that require material handling solutions, including steel, textiles, pharmaceuticals, mining, machine manufacturing, and more. Our equipment is trusted by leaders across sectors for efficiency and reliability.
Prime Insights: How do you keep up the pace with the changing market trends?
Continuous improvement is the key. The baseline always remains the same: “Serve the customer in the best possible way.” Learning from feedback of customers is the “secret sauce” of LOADMATE to be ahead in the changing market.
Prime Insights: Do you believe R&D is essential for the growth of the company?
It is the most essential part; however, R&D is not limited to only products, but it is also very much essential in process. Keep testing new processes for improvement and implement the better ones.
Prime Insights: Do you feel CEOs today face equal competition, or is there an ‘it’s okay’ attitude to it?
Competition is a word that is applicable for the “commodity products” approach. Competition becomes irrelevant when you offer tailored solutions. In a value-driven approach, no two companies are exactly alike. We don’t compete; we create value in our own unique way, and that makes all the difference.
Prime Insights: How necessary do you feel it is to keep your employees content, and how do you ensure it?
Sharing the company vision is the best way to keep everyone content. It is the most important process and needs to be done on a continuous basis. This starts from day zero (interview day). Our recruitment process scrutinizes the candidate for compatibility with the company’s approach. On his onboarding, the vision is shared. We expect all our team members to align their vision with the company’s vision, as that is the best way out for an ‘all win’ situation. On a regular basis, this is reviewed and the importance of reaching the bigger goal is reminded. ‘Self-motivation’ is above all methods to keep a team content.
Prime Insights: Who do you look up to, and what do you convey further to the ones who look up to you?
I deeply admire Shri Garg Sir for his holistic outlook on business and life. To those who look up to me, I say: stay rooted, stay curious, and never forget why you started. Vision with purpose can overcome anything.
Prime Insights: What are your thoughts on CEOs’ participation in the entrepreneurial world?
CEOs are like the captains of a ship. While the team drives the engine, it’s the CEO’s role to navigate to ensure every person is in the right role, driving towards a shared mission. Entrepreneurship and leadership go hand-in-hand.
Prime Insights: What message do you want to give to those CEOs who give up on their dreams because of some stereotypes?
Working on the “bigger goal” or the “company’s vision” will never let you down. The only point is whether your own goal is aligned with it or not. If yes, then giving up will never be a question, and in case the answer is ‘no,’ then re-working on the goal may be required.
Prime Insights: What does the company hold for it in the future (plans)?
LOADMATE will be the first choice of any customer looking for reliable lifting equipment on the planet. We would be exploring more markets (countries) and more products for this.
Prime Insights: What milestones and achievements does the company boast of?
Exporting to 30+ countries is not something we consider an achievement. The positive feedback that our customers give us makes us proud. Luckily we get it regularly and in bulk.
Prime Insights: How are you giving back to society (CSR)?
Giving back to the society can never be enough. We choose to strengthen the foundation of everything ‘education.’ We encourage and contribute to the primary education for the children in remote villages, as they are the deprived ones.
