Highlights of First Match of IPL 2022
- The very first match of IPL15 was held on Saturday, 26th March 2022 in the momentous Wankhede Stadium.
- Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders faced each other on the field.
- KKR won the toss and chose to bowl first keeping CSK on strike.
- CSK managed to deposit a fair score of 131/5 on the board. To compensate for this mediocre score, CSK had to do very well with the ball to do something special on the pitch.
- KKR on the other hand leads the scoreboard by two runs, summing up to a total score of 133/4.
- KKR bagged their first victory by defeating CSK with six wickets in hand and nine balls left
- Umesh Yadav from CSK was felicitated as the ‘Player of the Match’ for an outstanding performance of taking two wickets, in four overs leasing only 20 runs. After two years of break in his career, this was a power-packed comeback by Umesh Yadav.
- MS Dhoni batted for a splendid half-century, not out in 38 balls.
- AjinkyaRahane from KKR managed to score 44 runs in 34 balls for the team, promising to pump out more fine performances in the coming matches.
- The partnership of the opener VenkateshIyer and Rahane did the maximal task to set the pace for a straightforward chase.

- The second match was scheduled to be played on the same day Sunday, 27th March 2022 in Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
- Teams Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals faced each other with the brimming hustle of competition.
- Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first keeping Mumbai Indians on strike
- Mumbai Indians managed to score a favorable score of 177/5 in 20 overs.
- Delhi Capitals showed an exemplary attitude in batting, sweeping the winning score of 179/6 with 10 balls left.
- KuldeepYadavfrom Delhi Capitals was adjudged as the ‘Player of the Match for taking 4 wickets in 3 overs, leasing only 18 runs.
- Ishan Kishan showed his immense potential by making 81 runs in 43 balls playing not-out.
Highlights of Third Match of IPL 2022
- The second match was scheduled to be played on Sunday, 27th March 2022 in Dr.DYPatil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
- Royal Challengers (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PKBS) confronted each other on the fields
- PKBS won the toss and decided to bowl first letting RCB bat first.
- Royal Challengers played an excellent inning by making a mammoth of 205 runs with a loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs.
- PKBS grappled the game in their favor by making 208 runs with a loss of 5 wickets in 19 overs finishing the match with their victory
- Odean Smith from PKBS took away the title of ‘Player of the Match’ for his game-changing batting at the death line that took Punjab to the victory. Smith played eight balls and made 25 runs featuring three sixes and a couple of fours.
- Faf du Plessis from RCB showed an exceptional performance by making 88 runs in 57 balls.
Highlights of Fourth Match of IPL 2022
- The fourth match of IPL 15 was held on Monday, 28th March 2022 in the momentous Wankhede Stadium.
- Two colossal teams Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) descended the field for a touch-call match
- GT wins the toss and chose to bowl first
- LSG shifted a phenomenal score of 158 runs with a loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs (158/6).
- Titans orchestrated a score of 161 with a loss of wickets in 19.4 overs, (161/5) thereby rejoicing their immaculate victory.
- Star bowler Mohammed Shami from Gujarat Titans was awarded the title of ‘Player of The Match’ for knocking down 3 wickets in his bowling of 4 overs giving only 25 runs.
- Deepak Hooda from Super Giants batted really well and managed to score 55 runs in 41 balls for the team.
- Ayush Badoni from Super Giants also showed his potential by scoring 54 runs in 41 balls.
