Prime Insights: We welcome you both. Please accept our sincere gratitude for joining us today for this interview, as this is nothing less than a revered privilege. To begin with, we would like to ask, what inspired you to focus on innovative mobility and traffic solutions?
The inspiration comes from the harsh reality that road accidents claim more lives each year than even the COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond the devastating human loss, accidents also reduce national productivity and GDP. What truly drives us, however, is our core purpose: helping people get home safe. Every member of our traffic team is deeply connected to this purpose, and it is what motivates us to innovate every day—developing solutions that make mobility safer, smarter, and more sustainable. Through Ador Traffic, we provide a comprehensive suite of products and services that address both toll collection and traffic management, ensuring seamless travel and safer roads for millions of commuters.
Prime Insights: Can you please brief us on how your solutions work and what makes them unique in the market?
- In the tolling space, our solutions are built to make toll collection fast, accurate, and secure. We deploy FASTag-based electronic toll collection systems that enable smooth, contactless transactions, significantly reducing congestion at toll plazas.
- Our Automatic Vehicle Classification (AVC) technology ensures precise categorization of vehicles for correct toll charges, while Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) systems detect overloaded vehicles in real time, helping to protect road infrastructure and improve safety.
- To safeguard operator revenue, our fraud detection and revenue assurance tools identify lane jumping, unauthorized exemptions. All these systems are integrated into centralized monitoring dashboards, providing operators with a complete, real-time view of toll operations, performance, and maintenance needs.
- Our ANPR-based enforcement systems are designed to detect speeding violations both within campuses and on public roads, along with other traffic offenses.
- We also provide variable message sign boards (VMS) to deliver real-time information and alerts to drivers, improving communication and enhancing road safety.
- For highway worker protection, our truck-mounted attenuators (TMA) reduce risks during road maintenance activities.

Prime Insights: What advanced technologies power your systems?
At Ador Traffic, technology is inevitable to us. To drive our vision, we have a dedicated Software Innovation Team that constantly works on next generation platforms designed to address today’s traffic challenges while also shaping safer driving behaviours for the future.
Our solutions bring together artificial intelligence, IoT, RFID, ANPR, and cloud computing into a single, integrated ecosystem. For instance, our Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) uses AI to predict traffic patterns, detect incidents automatically, and regulate speed dynamically. This means alerts and speed limits can update in real time, helping to prevent accidents before they happen.
Through IoT, we have connected every element on the highway—cameras, radars, sensors, and roadside devices— to create a live digital shield. When combined with our cloud-based control rooms, this network gives operators 24/7 visibility, instant alerts, and actionable insights to respond quickly to emergencies or disruptions.
For tolling, RFID technology powers our FASTag-based systems, ensuring highspeed, contactless toll transactions that reduce congestion and delays. Meanwhile, our ANPR-enabled enforcement systems automatically detect violations such as over-speeding, wrong-way driving, and helmet.
Prime Insights: How do your solutions support the government’s Digital India and Smart City initiatives?
Digital India is about moving towards cashless, connected, tech-driven mobility, while Smart City initiatives focus on improving the quality of life for commuters through digital infrastructure.
At Ador, we are in the development of MLFF (Multi-Lane Free Flow), which will further reduce the possibility of congestion and cash handling, ensuring every transaction is digital, accurate, and transparent. Our system also detects traffic violations as per government norms—like speeding or wrong-lane driving—and automatically generates challans that violators can conveniently pay online, creating a fully digital enforcement process. In addition, our solutions seamlessly integrate tolling and enforcement, giving authorities a unified platform to manage revenue collection and road safety together.
Beyond tolling, our platform collects and analyzes data in real time, giving operators and government agencies valuable insights. This enables predictive analytics, helping them forecast traffic patterns, plan infrastructure, and take proactive steps to reduce congestion and enhance safety.
Prime Insights: Can you share a real-world case study or milestone project that made a big impact?
One of the most powerful examples of how our solutions create real-world impact comes from the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, one of India’s busiest corridors. We implemented our Harmony solution from 2019 to 2024, which uses advanced speed detection and ANPR technology to identify violators in real time. Each violation is automatically captured with a clear image of the vehicle, along with its speed, location, and timestamp, and a digital challan is instantly generated for the driver. As a result, Fatalities on the Mumbai Pune Expressway reduced by 50%, as per reports.
Another milestone project where our technology directly saved lives was on the Icchapuram Tollway. Here, our Truck-Mounted Attenuator (TMA) acted as a protective barrier between a construction zone and fast-moving traffic. In a serious incident, a truck veered off course and collided with the TMA. The equipment absorbed the full impact, preventing the truck from breaching the work zone and saving the lives of more than 10 workers on-site. In total, our TMAs managed to save nearly 100 lives. These examples highlight how our solutions are equipped enough to bring revolutionary changes and convenience that is beyond infrastructure.
Prime Insights: What makes your solutions unique compared to traditional traffic management systems?
Traditional traffic systems most of the time respond after problems occur. At Ador Traffic, we take a proactive approach by combining hardware, software, and real-time analytics into one integrated ecosystem so that violations or accidents can be prevented beforehand as much as possible.
Our ATMS platform detects violations like speeding or wrong-way driving, captures images with timestamps, and auto-generates challans that violators can pay online. This not only ensures fairness and transparency but also changes driver behaviour, as we’ve seen on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, where over-speeding dropped by 50%.
What truly sets us apart is that we give authorities real-time data and predictive insights, turning roads into smart, connected networks, not just managed spaces.
Prime Insights: How do you address the needs of both urban cities and national highways?
Our solutions are designed in a comprehensive manner. They are scalable and adaptable, so they meet the very different needs of urban cities and national highways.
In urban environments, our primary concern is about managing congestion and improving commuter convenience. Our ANPR-based enforcement systems tackle issues like speeding, while Variable Message Sign Boards (VMS) give realtime traffic updates and diversions, helping citizens make smarter travel decisions.
On national highways, safety becomes the top priority. Our Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) enables 24/7 monitoring, rapid incident detection, and automated emergency responses. What ties both together is our cloud-based platform, which integrates data from all these systems and provides real-time analytics to operators and government agencies.
Prime Insights: We would be glad to know about the milestones. or recognitions your company has achieved in this space.
I mean, we are glad that you asked that question. One of our greatest milestones is that we delivered India’s first World Bank–funded road safety corridor in 2019 in East Coast Road, Tamil Nadu, a landmark project in enhancing mobility and safety.
The Odisha ITMS project is a prime example of our quality and execution excellence—covering a 543 km stretch, where we deployed 100 units of 4D radar-based speed enforcement, video incident detection systems, and seamlesse-challan integration with NIC, all within just 8 months. This system is already playing a vital role in ensuring smoother traffic management during the Jagannath Yatra.
Beyond Odisha, we have successfully delivered four projects with one of India’s most prestigious road concessionaires and are currently implementing a greenfield ATMS project, underscoring our capability to handle complex, largescale assignments with innovation and efficiency.

Finishing the conversation, Mr. Swanand Deshpande and Mr. Nachiket Kulkarni shared with us some inspiring and warming words for the readership panel of Prime Insights Magazine. “Advising the new-age professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs, we would like to say that sure enough when you’re putting in consistent effort, you’re destined to achieve what you’ve manifested. Although it is easier said than done in the initial chapters, where the hustle is back and forth and results seem hazy. Always know that God has a better plan for you, and even in the worst adversities, you’ll realize how much potential you hold to fight against the odds.
