Vivid Skies Child Care Clinic
It’s said that a child’s brain develops more neural connections in the first five years than at any other point in life—up to 1 million new connections per second! This incredible pace makes the world of pediatric healthcare more crucial than ever. The Indian pediatric healthcare market is booming rapidly. The growing focus on early intervention means that the competitive pediatric healthcare field now requires complete, research-backed, and team-based care, focusing on long-term health and growth.
Leading this movement is Vivid Skies Child Care Clinic, a holistic child care, development, and counseling center. It is spearheaded by Dr. Tanvee Priya, Director and Developmental Pediatrician, an entrepreneur whose professional journey was inspired by the “resilience and honesty of children.” Dr. Priya’s core mission is to find an “ability” in every perceived “disability,” a philosophy she translates into helping children “take their little steps to big miracles and create their own silver lining.” Her background is based on strong clinical foundations, having been nurtured by her parents and key mentors during her medical training. Dr. Priya’s dedication has earned her significant recognition, including being named the Best Developmental Pediatrician in Mumbai at the Golden Aim Awards in both 2023 and 2025.
Vivid Skies Child Care Clinic works on a child-centered developmental approach, moving away from a traditional, fragmented model to one that sees each child as an individual. Prime Insights: Can you share your journey in pediatric medicine and what inspired you to specialize in child healthcare?
My journey into pediatric medicine began during my early clinical rotations, where I was struck by the resilience and honesty of children as patients. I discovered that pediatrics demanded not only medical knowledge but also empathy, creativity, and strong communication—both with children and their families. What truly inspired me to specialize in child healthcare was the opportunity to make a lasting impact early in a person’s life.
Prime Insights: What is the core mission and philosophy that guide your practice in promoting child wellness?
As a developmental pediatrician, my core mission has been to discover an “ability” in every perceived “disability.” Vivid Skies’ fundamental philosophy is to assist children in getting small victories and finding their own positive aspects.
Prime Insights: How do you ensure compassionate and personalized care for each child you treat?
Compassionate and personalized care begins with truly seeing each child as an individual—not just a patient. We give time to listen to the concerns and fears of the parents. Reassuring parents, educating them, and partnering with them in decision-making is crucial. Communication with the child should always be at their age level, utilizing play and ensuring they feel comfortable.
By building trust and creating a supportive environment, I aim to ensure every child feels safe, heard, and cared for as a whole person, not just as a diagnosis.
Prime Insights: What are the most significant changes you’ve observed in pediatric healthcare over the years?
As a developmental pediatrician, I’ve witnessed tremendous changes in pediatric healthcare over the years, particularly in how we understand and support children’s growth and neurodevelopment. One of the most significant shifts has been the increased emphasis on early identification and multidisciplinary interventions. We now recognize that addressing developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and learning differences as early as possible can profoundly influence long-term outcomes. There is growing appreciation for family-centered care and mental health integration, and the field is moving toward a more compassionate and comprehensive model of care. Advances in genetics, neuroimaging, and behavioral science have deepened our understanding of development, allowing for more personalized and evidence-based care.
Prime Insights: How do you balance medical innovation with emotional and family-centered care?
Innovation should improve humanity, not replace it. By adding cutting-edge science with empathy, listening, and partnership, I strive to ensure that progress in medicine truly serves each child’s well-being—medically, emotionally, and socially. Advances in genetics, neurodevelopmental research, and technology have given us powerful tools for diagnosis and treatment, but I always remind myself that behind every data point is a child and a family with hopes, fears, and strengths. I make it a priority to translate complex medical information into clear, compassionate conversations, making sure that families feel informed and empowered rather than overwhelmed. When introducing new therapies or interventions, I focus on shared decision-making—discussing not only the scientific evidence but also what aligns best with the child’s daily life, family values, and goals.
Prime Insights: What are the key challenges faced in modern pediatric care, and how do you address them?
Modern pediatric care faces growing challenges such as increasing developmental and behavioral concerns, limited access to early intervention, and fragmented coordination among healthcare, education, and community systems. In developmental pediatrics, I address these by promoting early screening, family-centered and trauma-informed care, and strong collaboration with schools and allied professionals. I also focus on empowering families through clear communication and advocacy, ensuring that every child not only receives medical care but also the developmental and emotional support they need to thrive.
Prime Insights: Could you highlight any unique treatment methods or health programs your clinic/hospital has introduced?
Vivid Skies employs a child-centered developmental approach, individualizing care based on each child’s strengths and motivation to build confidence. Key programs include sensory integration therapy and play therapy to address sensory, emotional, and behavioral needs. We also offer Social Skills Development Workshops and a crucial Parental Mental Health and Education Program to support caregivers. All services are unified under Collaborative Family-Centered Care, where a multidisciplinary team partners closely with parents to make sure of consistent, effective interventions across all environments.
Prime Insights: What role do early diagnosis and preventive medicine play in shaping a child’s long-term health?
Early diagnosis and preventive medicine are foundational in developmental pediatrics, impacting a child’s lifelong health and social outcomes. Early detection is vital, as it promotes optimal brain development during critical early years and prevents secondary complications like behavioral challenges. It also supports family adaptation and mental health, empowering parents with knowledge. Timely diagnosis enables targeted interventions and encourages lifelong healthy habits. These measures strengthen public health by improving educational attainment and reducing the societal burden of untreated conditions.
Prime Insights: Who or what has been your greatest influence or mentor in your medical journey?
First and foremost, I owe a great deal to my parents, Dr. Jayant Kumar and Dr. Neelam Shrivatava, who have consistently believed in me and supported me in all my life decisions. My teachers and professors greatly influenced me throughout my medical college days and pediatric residency. Dr. S. Siddiqui, Dr. V. Venkatramani (my mentor), Dr. P. Udavant, Dr. B. BS Ratta, and Dr. L. Rawal. They have the most important role in establishing my core foundation as a pediatrician and encouraging me to pursue a niche field like developmental pediatrics. I completed my fellowship in developmental pediatrics under the guidance of Dr. S. Dalwai.
I would especially like to acknowledge Dr. Preeti Krishnaswamy, my friend and fellow developmental pediatrician. She is the chief consultant and partner at the Thane branch of Vivid Skies. She has been a constant pillar of support through this journey and all the ups and downs. Equally, my greatest teachers have been the children and families I’ve worked with.
Prime Insights: What milestones or achievements best represent your contribution to pediatric healthcare in 2025?
Receiving the Golden Aim Award for Most Dynamic Developmental Pediatrician in 2023 and Most Trusted in 2025 has been a humbling recognition of my journey and commitment to child development. I’m grateful to have contributed to a child-centered and family-focused model of care, integrating evidence-based therapy with play and guidance. I also initiated the Parental Mental Health and Education Program to strengthen family engagement and outcomes. Moreover, my ongoing advocacy for early diagnosis and preventive pediatric medicine through outreach continues to support policies aimed at ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
Prime Insights: Finally, what message would you like to share with future pediatricians and healthcare professionals about empathy, innovation, and dedication?
My message to future pediatricians and healthcare professionals:
Lead with Empathy: See beyond the medical case to the whole child—their strengths, emotions, and environment. Listen to parents; they are your greatest partners.
Embrace Innovation: Think creatively! Use play-based therapy and technology to engage, include, and empower every child with diverse developmental needs.
Commit with Dedication: Progress needs consistency and trust. Celebrate small victories, persevere through challenges, and always advocate for a child’s right to reach their fullest potential.
