Celebration of Life
A company’s intangible assets—things like its brand name, logo, software code, and client relationships—are often worth more than 80% of its total market value. In today’s economy, these legal protections, known as Intellectual Property (IP), are the new gold standard, making the lawyers who specialize in safeguarding them the true architects of long-term business security.
The global Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector is experiencing explosive growth, with India positioned as a powerhouse of both creative talent and technical expertise. Only studios that consistently blend world-class technical precision with a clarity-first, partnership-driven approach can cut through the noise and achieve global recognition.
One such revolutionary force is Celebration of Life, an animation and design studio established around 2020. It was founded by Aswin Manikandan, Founder and CEO, whose journey into digital storytelling began with a humble yet profound fascination for soap carving and physical 3D modeling. Aswin’s early achievements—creating over 550 custom soap sculptures and conducting workshops across the state—gave him the confidence to monetize his craft. Inspired by the infinite potential of the digital 3D world, he transformed his hands-on artistry into a studio built on the core vision: Design with Vision, Direction with Purpose, and Depth that Lasts. Celebration of Life exists to help brands, innovators, and educators communicate complex ideas with powerful clarity, a commitment that has earned the studio international recognition, including screening at film festivals and multiple award nominations.
The studio excels particularly in specialized areas, including 3D Industrial & Machinery Animations, Product Visualizations, and VFX, catering to a diverse clientele from engineering and tech startups to education and media. Their method is defined by a clarity-first approach: they see themselves as collaborators who deeply diagnose the client’s communication challenge before animating a single frame. By using the latest technology for efficiency and maintaining a rigorous, quality-focused production pipeline, Celebration of Life provides visually stunning, strategically effective, and technically accurate work, driving tangible outcomes for their partners.

Prime Insights: Can you introduce your studio and its core vision in the animation industry?
Celebration of Life was built on a belief that animation isn’t just about good visuals — it’s about creating meaningful connections. Our core vision is simple: Design with Vision, Direction with Purpose, and Depth that Lasts. We exist to help brands, innovators, and educators cut through noise and communicate with clarity.
We see ourselves as more than a studio — we’re collaborators or creative partners. When a client works with us, we don’t just take a brief and give files; we walk with them through their journey, deeply understanding their goals, challenges, and audience. This partnership-driven approach has helped us to work across industries such as engineering, tech, education, healthcare, and media.
Our aim is always to create work that is not only visually impressive but strategically powerful — the kind that changes how people think, learn, and act.
Prime Insights: What inspired your journey into animation and digital storytelling?
My journey started long before I even knew what animation was. As a child, I was fascinated by storytelling — whether it was sketching, painting, or building little worlds out of clay, cardboards and cardboard thermocol. I was constantly experimenting. I fell in love with stop-motion animation first, then discovered photography and mixed the two. Eventually, I was drawn to the third dimension, which opened the door to sculpting and modeling. I have carved on any item that was possible, soaps, wax, chalks, themocols, wood etc- but soap was my favourite of all and that paved way to may ideas and designs which later people started customising to gift their loved ones and that was my first step into monetisation, then slowly audience grew, I managed to carve over 550+ soaps in a span of 2-3 years during my collage days, which gave me the confidence. And also have conducted workshops across the state and have been invited to reputed institutions as a guest lecturer for sculpting and soap carving workshops.
But I felt limited by physical materials. The day I discovered the digital 3D world, everything changed — suddenly, there were no limits. Infinite iterations, no material waste, the ability to undo and redo… it felt like pure creative freedom.
I started self-learning, spending countless hours on YouTube, experimenting, failing, and trying again. Over time, I realized that the skills I had been building could solve a real problem: companies were struggling to communicate their innovations clearly and effectively. I wanted to fill that gap. That’s how Celebration of Life was born — not as a production service, but as a creative partner dedicated to transforming ideas into powerful, clear, and emotionally resonant stories.
Prime Insights: Which areas of animation do you specialize in?
Our core expertise lies in 3D Industrial & Machinery Animations — helping engineering and manufacturing companies explain complex machines, processes, and ideas with precision. But our expertise doesn’t stop there.
We create Product Visualizations that make launches memorable, 2D Explainer Videos and Motion Graphics that simplify complex topics, and VFX & CGI that add cinematic depth to storytelling.
The key difference: we don’t just “make videos.” We diagnose the client’s challenge, design a solution around it, and craft visuals that don’t just look good but serve a clear business or educational purpose.
Prime Insights: How do your services cater to industries like film, OTT, gaming, advertising, and education?
We believe every industry needs storytelling, but each one requires a slightly different language.
Engineering & Manufacturing: We create simulations that are not only visually stunning but also technically accurate, helping teams train safely and customers understand products better.
Film & OTT: Our VFX and motion graphics improve storytelling, making worlds richer and moments more impactful.
Marketing & Advertising: We help brands cut through the clutter with product visualizations and animations that get attention and drive engagement.
Education & Training: We transform dry or complex content into engaging visual experiences, helping learners retain information faster and more effectively.
By tailoring our approach to the audience, we make sure that our work isn’t just seen — it’s remembered.
Prime Insights: Can you share a landmark project that put your studio in the spotlight?
One of our proudest moments was working on a 3D animation for a breakthrough machine design. It was more than a project — it became the stepping stone that helped us to collaborate with global brands.
Another highlight was being part of multiple international short films and collaborations with renowned directors. Our work has been screened and recognized at film festivals around the world, earning nominations and awards across more than 30 festivals.
These milestones validated our clarity-first approach and proved that technical precision and artistic creativity can co-exist beautifully.
Prime Insights: How do you keep global quality standards while being cost-efficient in India?
Quality isn’t negotiable at Celebration of life. We have built a strong production pipeline that ensures every step — from concept to final render — passes through a structured review process.
Cost-efficiency comes from doing things right the first time. Our pre-production phase is detailed and collaborative, which minimizes expensive rework later. We manage project at every step to keep timelines on track, and our pricing is transparent — clients know exactly what they are paying for and the value it delivers.
This helps us to deliver work that competes globally while keeping it accessible to companies looking for a premium, yet efficient solution.
Prime Insights: What role do innovation and technology play in your growth?
Technology is the backbone that supports our creativity. We use the latest industry-standard software and real-time rendering when it can speed up iterations without compromising quality. Cloud-based collaboration ensures our clients can be involved at every stage, even if they’re on the other side of the world.
But we are very intentional about technology — we see it as an enabler, not a replacement for human creativity. Every project is designed with care, guided by storytelling and purpose, with tech serving as the bridge that brings ideas to life efficiently.
Prime Insights: How do you make sure of creativity, originality, and cultural relatability in your work?
We start with deep research — not just about the product or brand, but about the audience and the emotion we need to evoke. We involve our team in brainstorming sessions where every idea is explored before we lock in a direction.
When needed, we put cultural references or subtle design elements that make the work feel authentic and relatable. And we stay far away from cookie-cutter solutions — every animation is custom-crafted. This makes sure that what we deliver isn’t just creative but uniquely aligned with the client’s story.
Prime Insights: What are some of the key challenges for animation studios in India, and how do you overcome them?
Price-driven market: We educate clients on the value of high-quality animation and how it impacts results long-term.
Misunderstanding of timelines: We set expectations up front and share a clear production schedule so there are no surprises.
Talent retention: We focus on team growth and create a collaborative environment where creativity is celebrated.
Limited awareness of animation’s potential: We build case studies and share success stories to show how animation drives ROI.
Scaling quality consistently: We are continuously refining our pipeline to ensure consistency as we take on more complex projects.
Each challenge has helped us evolve and mature as a studio — we see them as opportunities to build a stronger foundation for future growth.
Prime Insights: How do you manage client relationships and long-term collaborations?
We treat every client as a partner, not a transaction. Some of our earliest clients are still with us today, which we see as one of our biggest achievements. We share regular updates, involve clients at key milestones, and maintain a transparent feedback process.
Even after delivery, we stay engaged — helping them analyze results, plan future campaigns, and refine their messaging. It’s not just about providing a video; it’s about being part of their journey and helping them succeed over time.
Prime Insights: Can you highlight a major recognition your studio achieved recently?
Our recent work has been recognized at multiple international film festivals and industry award platforms. But beyond the trophies, what excites us is when clients tell us that our work helped them close a deal, secure funding, or educate their teams more effectively. For us, impact is the ultimate milestone — and we’re proud to say we’re making a difference project after project.
Prime Insights: How do you look after young creative talent and keep your team motivated?
We invest in our team continuously — through internal knowledge-sharing sessions, skill-upgrading workshops, and opportunities to experiment with new ideas. We also make sure every member knows the impact of their work.
Celebrating small wins is a big part of our culture — whether it’s a successful client presentation, a clever idea that worked, or a personal achievement. When people feel valued and know they’re growing, motivation becomes natural.
Prime Insights: What differentiates your studio from other fast-growing players in India?
The biggest difference is our mindset: we don’t see ourselves as a vendor but as a partner. Our clarity-first approach makes sure that clients’ ideas are fully understood before we animate a single frame.
Leadership stays personally involved in projects, making use of quality and alignment. Our workflows are customized for each client’s goals — there’s no “factory line” here. The result is premium, strategic work that drives outcomes, not just pretty visuals.
Prime Insights: What are your future plans—expansion, new IPs, or global collaborations?
We are scaling with purpose. Our future plans include taking on larger and more complex engineering visualization projects, collaborating with more global agencies, and creating original IPs — including short films that share powerful stories, create impact in people’s life. There are more but we are in initial stages in those and this might be too early.
We are also strengthening specialized teams for industries like medical visualization, where accuracy and creativity must work hand in hand. The idea is to grow without losing the personal touch that makes Celebration of life special.
Prime Insights: What advice would you give to aspiring animators and entrepreneurs entering this industry?
Focus on the fundamentals — they never go out of style. Learn how to tell a good story, understand human emotion, and master your tools. Don’t chase trends blindly — build a body of work that solves real problems.
Be consistent. It’s a long game, but every project teaches you something valuable. And above all, build trust — with clients, collaborators, and your audience. When people trust you, everything else follows.
