Elite Radiology Services
Remember when waiting days for an X-ray report felt normal? Or when a specialist opinion meant traveling long distances? The Indian healthcare sector has witnessed a remarkable transformation over the last decade, largely propelled by technological advancements. This evolution has led to the rise of telehealth, making medical services more accessible and efficient. Teleradiology, in particular, has revolutionized image interpretation, reducing reporting times from days to mere minutes by enabling remote diagnostics. The market for teleradiology services in India is robust, yet fiercely competitive, with numerous organizations striving to offer the best in terms of service portfolio, market penetration, and quality.
Standing out in this competitive landscape is Elite Radiology Services (ERS), a firm distinguished by its comprehensive offerings and unwavering dedication. At its helm is Mr. Vishal Goswami, the Director, whose journey into teleradiology was inspired by a keen understanding of industry operations gained from his previous roles, including serving as an IT Manager at Gujarat Imaging Center and a stint at Meddiff Technologies. Driven by a passion for technical innovation and a desire to deliver accurate, speedy reports across India, Mr. Goswami founded ERS in 2016. His leadership has been instrumental in the company’s growth, evidenced by winning the “Best Teleradiology Award” last year and achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Elite Radiology Services operates with an unwavering focus on efficiency and data security. The entire operation is centralized at ERS’s office premises. Client centers upload diagnosis images in encrypted DICOM format to their server. ERS’s team then assigns cases to specialized radiologists, who decrypt, evaluate, and upload reports, again in an encrypted format. This streamlined process, powered by their proprietary web-based PACS system and Mr. Goswami’s technical expertise, ensures a remarkably short Turnaround Time (TAT) and a 99% accuracy rate. With over 40 radiologists across India, ERS provides cost-effective solutions for CT, MRI, X-ray, PET CT, and PET MRI, offering 24/7 support, including dedicated emergency teams for critical cases and specialized teams for neuro, musculoskeletal, and cardiac reporting. Unlike many firms where teleradiology is a secondary offering, ERS is 100% dedicated, providing services 24/7, 365 days a year.

Prime Insights: What inspired your entry into teleradiology, and what specific healthcare gaps does your service aim to bridge?
A computer engineering graduate, Vishal started his career with one of the largest diagnostic centers in India, Gujarat Imaging Center. As an IT manager, his responsibilities include overseeing the operations across all the centers under the firm. However, there was hardly any industry exposure. Later he joined Bengaluru-based Meddiff Technologies. His 10-month tenure at the firm gave him a fair understanding of the overall industry operation. He decided to resign from his job and then did a thorough market study for two months before starting ERS. Initially, the firm started its operations with five centers after purchasing
Prime Insights: What core services or solutions do you offer in teleradiology for hospitals, clinics, or diagnostic centers?
The whole operation runs from ERS’s office premises. Each system at the client site is installed with software that, once uploaded by the client, sends the diagnosis images to the server. Once received, the team at ERS assigns the cases to their corresponding doctors based on the report type. The doctors evaluate the cases remotely and upload the reports that are then sent to the clients. To ensure data security, the images received are in encrypted DICOM format. Along with the encrypted images, doctors are also provided with a password for decryption with a validity period of around one hour. After evaluation, the doctors then upload the report on the server, which again gets stored in an encrypted format.
