Prime Insights: What inspired your journey into entrepreneurship, especially in the field of environmental sustainability?
The journey to entrepreneurship wasn’t a sudden decision; it was a gradual realization fueled by purpose. Since childhood, I have had a belief that real change happens when you are willing to step out of your comfort zone and create your path. Being from a rural background, I have always kept a deep connection to nature. Eventually, after completing my post-graduation in environmental education, a seed of entrepreneurship was sown to create a business that didn’t just grow in profits but grew in purpose. Waste management is not just a technical field—it’s about public health, environmental justice, and resource recovery. that my Believing that my work could improve lives, protect nature, and leave a legacy of cleaner water—that’s what pushed me to become an entrepreneur.
Prime Insights: What were some of the early challenges you faced as a first-generation entrepreneur?
In a highly technical and skeptical industry, trust is hard-earned with no big name or background. I had to start small—conducting demos, educating stakeholders, and letting results speak for themselves. There was no legacy resource or family capital. Every rupee counted. Bootstrapping the business meant being frugal, creative, and laser-focused on value. Being a first-generation entrepreneur meant learning everything from scratch, making mistakes, and growing through them. It was challenging to persuade people about the feasibility of converting wastewater into biogas. But real-life success stories slowly changed perceptions and opened doors. Despite the struggle, each hurdle became a building block. Today, our work stands as proof that innovation, sustainability, and determination can go hand-in-hand, even when starting from zero. We don’t just manage wastewater—we turn it into opportunity.
