Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

Launched on August 28, 2014, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana had the primary goal of promoting the financial inclusion of every citizen in India. It provides access to financial services like savings accounts, credit facilities, insurance, pensions, etc. With this, people can open a zero-balance account and have a free debit card. Each cardholder was allotted two lakhs of accidental coverage.

Make in India

Launched on September 25, 2014, Make in India was aimed towards making India a global manufacturing hub. This is supposed to be done by encouraging more foreign as well as domestic investment, nurturing innovation, and creating a business-friendly environment so that industries can thrive. This focused on promoting growth in the manufacturing sector, creating employment opportunities, simplifying business, and modernizing industrial infrastructure.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Launched on October 2, 2014, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was focused on promoting cleanliness and improving waste management. It also focused on creating awareness about hygiene in overall India. It catered towards improving the sanitation facilities in urban and rural areas as well as eliminating the open defecation in the rural areas.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Launched on June 25, 2015, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was aimed towards providing affordable housing facilities to the economically challenged sector. The key features here are providing a subsidized loan for the purchase or construction of a house and redevelopment projects for the slum dwellers.

Ujjwala Yojana

Launched on May 1, 2016, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was aimed at providing free LPG connections to the women from weak economic households. This was to ensure the reduction of health hazards caused by the traditional method of cooking. Here, women below the poverty line were targeted and provided financial assistance of Rs 1600 per connection.

Smart Cities Mission

The smart city mission was piloted on June 25, 2015. This was focused on developing hundred cities across India that would be sustainable, have efficient infrastructure, be digitally capable, and provide a better quality of life. The key focus areas here were to improve public transport and provide smart infrastructure with safety and security.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana

Launched on January 22, 2015, the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme was aimed at addressing the declining child sex ratio. This was to promote and empower female children by providing better healthcare access for girls, encouraging girls to go to school and ensuring they complete their education, discouraging child marriage, and female feticide.

Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana

Launched on April 8, 2015, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana was aimed towards providing financial assistance to MSMEs and other small businesses in India. They provided various loans at affordable interest rates without collateral. This was aimed at providing loans to small entrepreneurs, women, and businesses from lower economic backgrounds.

Start-Up India

Start-up India was launched on 16 January 2016, with the aim to promote the start-up ecosystem in India. This was done to support innovation, encourage entrepreneurship, create jobs, and foster a healthy environment for start-ups. The key features were three years of tax extension, capital gains tax exemption, providing initial funding, mentorship, incubation, etc.

Atal Pension Yojana

Launched on May 9, 2015, the Atal Pension Yojana is a government scheme that provides pension benefits to people working in the unorganized sector. This caters to workers who do not have access to a formal pension scheme at an old age. Anyone from 18 to 14 has the eligibility of the same scheme, offering a monthly pension between 1000 and 5000 upon reaching the age of 60.

Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

Launched on September 23, 2018, Ayushmann Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was aimed towards providing universal health care facilities to economically challenged families in India. It ensures access to proper healthcare services and financial protection from various medical procedures, hospitalization, and medical costs. It provided five lakhs per family every year for hospitalization and focused on the poor from both rural and urban areas by providing access to health services.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi was launched on 1 December 2018 and was aimed at providing financial facilities to small and marginal farmers in India. It was launched to help farmers find a stable income and reduce the final stress. Farmers were provided Rs 6000 per year directly into their bank account in three equal installments. Farmers with 2 hectares of land are eligible for this criteria.

Digital India Mission

The Digital India mission was launched in July 2015 to create a digitally empowered society. It aims at providing citizens with the Internet and promoting the development of the online infrastructure. Here the high-speed broadband network was promoted in the rural areas. Digital literacy was also promoted with the e-government platforms.

Stand-Up India Scheme

Launched on April 5, 2016, the Stand Up India scheme was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and providing financial inclusion to SC & ST and women. It provided various loan assistance programs to women entrepreneurs from backward castes.

Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan

Launched on May 12, 2020, Aman Bharat Iyer was launched with the aim of making India self-reliant. It focused on boosting domestic manufacturing and reducing imports; this promoted local business. Here. An economic stimulus package worth 20 crores was introduced for MSMEs. Make in India, which was encouraged, and various liberal forms and social structural changes were put into place to facilitate growth.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana

The Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana was launched on November 25, 2014, with the aim of providing electricity in the rural areas. This was focusing on 24/7 electricity connections towards villages that rarely had any electricity. This scheme featured substantial infrastructural growth, a strong power distribution network, etc.

National Digital Health Mission

The National Digital Health Mission was launched on 15 August 2020 with the aim of transforming India’s healthcare system digitally. It was aimed at providing a comprehensive digital healthcare ecosystem that was focused towards all the citizens. Every Indian citizen was provided with a unique health ID that was linked to their personal health record: medical records, prescriptions, diagnostics, etc. All this data was available in the individual’s health ID.

Khelo India Programme

Launched on January 31, 2018, the Khelo India Programme was an initiative that focused on encouraging and promoting sports and fitness among Indian youth. It was aimed at identifying and nurturing young talents and providing them with good facilities to encourage participation in various sports at both domestic and international levels. This scheme helped in identifying youths with potential at the grassroots level and provided them with various training and mentorship programs. Van Dhan Yojana

Van Dhan Yojana was launched in March 2018 with the aim of promoting sustainable livelihoods and empowering the tribal communities of India.
