Ajmal IAS Academy was established with the vision of its trustees, Maulana Badruddin Ajmal and Mr. Sirajuddin Ajmal and its Director, Dr. Khasrul Islam to provide affordable, accessible and high quality coaching to UPSC and APSC aspirants. Prime Insights: What was the reason behind you starting your IAS coaching institute, and how has your journey been over the years?
The Academy was created because it was realized that a large number of talented students, especially from underserved areas, had enormous potential but they did not have the right guidance and good mentorship. Over the years, we have emerged as one of the top civil services coaching institutes in the North-East. We have constantly upgraded our academic programmes as per the feedback received from the students, incorporation of technology and adapting to the changing UPSC and APSC exam patterns.

Another achievement that we are proud of is the great success of our student Mr. Bishal Das who secured 5th Rank in the APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 in his very first attempt. His success is a reflection of the power of our academic guidance, our model of mentorship, and the dedication of our faculty and students. Besides this achievement , we have had more than 100 selections in APSC CCE Examination with top ranks.

We see many of our alumni go on to successful careers in a range of public service fields, and their long-term career success continues to be one of our most important measures of success. Prime Insights: What advice do you have for the aspiring IAS officers preparing for one of the most competitive examinations in India?
There is no shortcut to success in UPSC, only consistency, discipline and perseverance. Develop a good conceptual base, revise constantly, practice answer writing thoroughly, keep updated with current affairs and take care of your physical and mental health. Have faith in your capabilities, be patient when you face failures and remember that civil services is all about serving the society with honesty and dedication.
