According to the latest Bloomberg Index, Tesla and Twitter chief Elon Musk have overpowered the position of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault while Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani is no longer among the world’s top 25 richest persons after his sudden drop in net worth. Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani is the only Indian on the list of the top 10 richest people in the world in 2023. Let us check out some more in this group across the globe:

Elon Musk

The latest Bloomberg Index claims that Elon Musk has reclaimed his title as the world’s richest person after losing the position to Louis Vuitton CEO Bernard late last year. Due to a surge in Tesla’s shares, although there was a drop in his net worth between November to December last year, this year it expanded rapidly and helped him return to the number one spot. His current net worth stands at $187 billion.

Bernard Arnault and his family

He is the second richest person of 2023, the CEO of LVMH, with a net worth of $184 billion as per Bloomberg Index. He was the richest in December last year and held his spot for two months. LVMH is the world’s luxury goods company brand overseeing around 70 fashion and cosmetic brands.

Jeff Bezos

The founder and executive chairman of the largest retail platform Amazon, Jeff Bezos is the third richest identity of this year with a wealth value of $117 billion according to Bloomberg. His creation of the biggest e-commerce giant Amazon in 1994 earned him much fame and revenue over time. In July 2021, he stepped down as the CEO to become the Chairman earning revenue of $514 billion in 2022, according to the index.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates is an American business magnate who co-founded Microsoft and has achieved a net worth of $114 billion to date according to Zee News. He owns around $28.6 billion worth of Microsoft stock, according to Forbes. In 2000, he founded the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Trust, an investment arm of the Gates Foundation which has been contributing to several other firms over years.

Warren Buffet

An American business magnate and one of the world’s most successful investors, Warren is the fifth wealthiest person with a wealth value of $106 billion according to India TV. He is currently the Chairman and the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway which owns multiple companies under its roof like the Insurer Geico, Duracell, etc.

Larry Ellison

The former Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of the American software giant Oracle Corporation, Larry Page stands with a net worth of $102 billion, as per Bloomberg. According to Forbes, Ellison owns about 355 of the tech company and about 15 million shares of Tesla.

Steve Ballmer

An American businessman and investor who also has been the Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014, has a wealth of $89.4 billion according to India TV. He is now the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association who made one of his biggest investments in 2018-$59 million in Social Solutions, a non-profit government organization.

Larry Page

American business magnate Larry Page is one the eight richest people in the world with a wealth value of $84.7 billion, according to Zee. He is best known for co-founding Google. He stepped down in 2019 as the CEO of Alphabet, the parent company of Google but still is one of its shareholders. He has made a great investment in the space exploration company- Planetary Resources.

Carlos Slim

A Mexican business magnate and investor, Carlos was ranked by Forbes as the world’s richest person from 2010 to 2013. As of this year, he is the 9th richest person as per India TV with a net worth of $83.3 billion. He has extensive shareholdings in several Mexican companies through their multi-industry company named Grupo Carso in which he has a stake of 79%.

Mukesh Ambani

The only Indian to make a world rank as the 10th richest person in the world is Mukesh Ambani. His net worth is $81 billion according to the Bloomberg Index. He is the founder and chairman of the big Reliance Industries which is the most valuable Indian company in terms of its revenue and market value. He also owns the Mumbai Indian team in the IPL.
