Prime Insights: Can you introduce your company and its core mission?
Indra is redefining wastewater treatment with decentralized, electrically driven solutions that enable industries and municipalities to treat and reuse water efficiently. Our ElectroX technology removes some of the toughest, most stubborn pollutants—achieving up to 95% water recovery while minimizing operational expenses.
Our mission is to make water accessible and affordable for all. By shifting from large, centralized plants to smart, modular systems, Indra is working towards building a resilient and water-secure future.
Prime Insights: What inspired you to establish your company, and what problem does it aim to solve?
I grew up visiting factories with my father, where I saw firsthand the way wastewater was managed. It was simply ignored and left for someone else to deal with. Amrit, my cofounder, had faced water scarcity growing up. Later, when we got the opportunity to work in the field of water, seeing existing solutions anguished us; it just didn’t make sense. That is when we decided to bring our experience from automotives and building clean energy systems to try and solve the problem of wastewater treatment and water management.
Prime Insights: What were the biggest challenges you faced in the early days, and how did you overcome them?
Wastewater management is seen more as a compliance requirement, with little focus on effective treatment. Industries aren’t willing to invest beyond the bare minimum. We changed this perception by proving that wastewater reuse wasn’t just about compliance—it was a business advantage. By showcasing tangible ROI, we turned treatment into a financially viable decision for industries.
Further, our patented physioelectrical technology was relatively new, and proving its effectiveness was critical. Through extensive pilots and real-world data, we demonstrated superior pollutant removal, high water recovery, and lower operational costs, gaining trust across industries.
Prime Insights: How is your brand redefining “trust” in the industry, and what sets it apart from competitors?
Indra is redefining trust in wastewater treatment by delivering consistent performance, measurable ROI, and industry-first innovations. Unlike traditional players that offer custom-built, chemical-heavy solutions with high downtime, we provide modular, decentralized systems that ensure predictable efficiency, lower costs, and faster deployment.
At Indra, we don’t just claim results—we prove them. We share actual on-field system performance data, enabling customers to trust our technology. If challenges arise, we openly communicate limitations and provide alternative system integrations to meet end-user needs.
Unlike conventional EPC-driven plants that take months to deploy, our standardized, factory-built, and tested treatment units are installed in days, making wastewater treatment efficient and adaptable, setting it apart from competitors.
By shifting wastewater treatment from an opaque, compliance-driven process to a transparent, performance-based investment, Indra is setting a new industry benchmark for trust and efficiency.
“Indra Water is not just treating wastewater—it’s redefining trust, performance, and sustainability in the industry. By blending innovation with transparency, -we are proving that water reuse isn’t just an environmental necessity but a smart business advantage.”
Prime Insights: What are your company’s flagship products, services, or solutions that distinguish it in the market?
Indra stands out with ElectroX, our flagship electrically driven, compact, scalable wastewater treatment technology that provides high-efficiency wastewater treatment in seconds, with minimal human intervention.
Furthermore, INDRA’s SMART Automation optimizes processes in real time, ensuring consistency, while SPECTRUM Analytics provides live water quality monitoring, ensuring transparency and reliability.
Lastly, unlike traditional CAPEX-heavy installations, and due to technological advantages, Indra also offers Water Treatment as a Service model, allowing businesses to treat wastewater with zero upfront investment while ensuring compliance and cost savings.
Prime Insights: How do you perceive consumer trust evolving in today’s dynamic and competitive business landscape?
Trust for us is about transparency, performance, and accountability.
