It is believed that Lord Ganesha’s favorite sweet was modak hence during Ganesh Chaturthi people made and distributed modaks in honour of Lord Ganesha.
On the final day, the idol of Ganesha is immersed in the water which is known as Visarjan. symbolizes the return of divine energy and the dissolution of all the obstacles of the devotee’s life. This time all the devotees are very emotional as they need to say goodbye to their Lord.
