Twitter’s Blue Bird Logo Now Has A New Face- Dogecoin Cryptocurrency’s “Doge” Caricature

A sudden and unexpected change made by Twitter’s CEO Elon Musk to replace its original Blue Bird logo with a “doge’ caricature has disrupted the social world, as per the news published on IndiaTV. TwitterLogo was among the top trending topics; users now respond and react differently to this sudden logo change.

The caricature of the doge meme was created as a mere prank back in 2013 but suddenly was seen to get resurfaced and flooded the web version of Twitter, last Monday, catching million’s attention in the media. CEO Musk, cryptically posted this update, in the automobile advising the police officer, with the doge meme (Shiba Inu), who is seen to be check the driver’s license. Million Twitter followers assumed that this was done by Musk to honour his pet Shiba Inu, Floki. The mobile app version has witnessed no change so far. This new caricature of a dog meme is a well–known and popular Bitcoin and blockchain logo.

Dating back to March 26, 2022, Musk had shared a screenshot from his old discussion, in which an anonymous account called ‘Chairman’ asked him to replace the bird emblem, being followed for years to ‘doge’. Thus, he mentions that he has done it ‘as promised’ and replaced the logo. Grabbing the full attention of Twitter’s followers and its social media users has fuelled a meme storm on the web. People are now seen making funny comments and posts with satirical comments about this change and its consequences. Some tweets recently posted after this logo change are as follows:

  • ‘Looks like #Floki wanted to have some fun’, tweeted by Floki cryptocurrency.
  • ‘TwitterLogo Changed’, tweeted by a random user.
  • ‘Twitter Board of Directors unveils the new logo’, a user tweeted in his caption.
  • A posting by another user showed a ‘Godzilla’-inspired meme in which Shiba Inu was coming to attack Facebook and Twitter.
  • Some other users even comment that this new logo looks amazing.

The value of Dogecoin with the sudden change in the logo now has gone up by more than 30%. The face of Dogecoin is now Kabosu, a Shiba Inu. The soaring prices of cryptocurrencies are definitely because of Musk’s tweets flooding each day. Last February, Elon posted a picture of his pet sitting in the boss’s chair and called him the ‘new CEO of Twitter’. The price of the meme coins even went up after this, as per Forbes magazine. The Dogecoin value exceeded by 26% last year in January after Musk tweeted that the token could be used to buy Tesla products. Forbes, which has pushed Musk to the position of being the second richest in the world, now says, according to the investors that the pushed-up price of Dogecoin by more than 36,000% in the last two years, is likely to crash soon.

On the top left corner of the Twitter feed home screen on the Web version, users can find this new logo of ‘doge’ meme. This is the latest change brought in the Microblogging platform by CEO Musk since last November. Some says that although it doesn’t matter as to what logo Twitter has other have commented that Musk, being a true supporter of Dogecoin, created it as a joke in 2013. This was done because at that time Tesla accepted Dogecoin for merchandise payment and stated that SpaceX will do the same soon.
