Prime Insights: Can you briefly overview your company and its journey in the HR technology sector?

Rechner Infosystems (P) Ltd. is a Delhi-based software product development company offering ERP solutions for the footwear, pharma, and steel industries across India since 1997. While working with some of our clients, we encountered their HR challenges in managing their employees and came up with the idea of developing a solution for them and for the MSME industry at large. The HR problems of MSME clients are very different from the corporate clients. On discussing the practical pain areas of the HR and accounts team members within our MSME audience, we developed the Perfetto HRMS solution. Today, we are proud to share that Perfetto HR is serving over 100 clients across various industries and 10,000+ users.

Prime Insights: What motivated you to specialize in HR technology solutions?

We believe that the “HR team” has a very significant role in the success of any organization, and our solution is our way of showing gratitude for all the wonderful work they do for their organizations.
The idea of Perfetto HR initiated from the need to provide a comprehensive “automated HR and payroll processing” solution for the HR team members so that they can focus on their core HR activities instead of having to spend their time on repetitive manual payroll tasks and multiple follow-ups with the employees and/or their team managers for approvals on the employee’s request for attendance, leave, and advances.

Prime Insights: What are the primary challenges faced by organizations in adopting HR technology, and how does your company address them?

We work with MSME organizations that are now keen to adopt technology as their way of doing business. Many of them have been using biometric machines and MS Excel for their time/leave management and processing their payroll. Some are first-time users of HR automation solutions. We have also seen that employees resist adopting automation and newer solutions, usually because it comes in the way of their comfort zone or they feel they are being policed. However, on discussing the larger picture of the ease of use and benefits of an automated solution with them, they start adopting.
Another challenge faced by many MSME organizations is proper handholding and training of the provided solution. We had a lot of clients who moved away from their existing HRMS vendors due to lack of support and training. We have a detailed onboarding process which consists of complete hand-holding during initial data porting and salary processing, multiple training sessions and unlimited support during the entire tenure of the subscription for our clients.

Post-Covid, MSME companies across India have started taking technology more seriously. Post Y2K, companies adopted digital record keeping for their administration and accounts, and now they are keenly working on bringing technology to every aspect of their business, starting from sales to production to customer service and HR management. Hence, the evolution of the need for automating payroll, attendance and leave, and performance management, along with learning management, is rapidly growing.
Companies have also realized the importance of using mobile technology for their business use apart from emails and WhatsApp messaging. Mobile apps offer the GPS feature apart from usability.

At Perfetto HR, it is a complete customer-centric approach where we strive to serve our customers to the best of our abilities. We have designed feedback forms to review what our clients feel about our services and how we can improve them. We maintain complete transparency in customer support issues where we share client support query stats (on demand) with them and discuss how we can work on improving them. We are also working on setting up a dedicated help desk for our clients soon.

The success of our solution lies in retaining the clients, and we are proud to share that we have a year-on-year renewal rate of over 68% amongst MSME clients.
