An entrepreneur has to be on their toes at all times. As the Civil Infrastructure market has changed drastically over the last few decades, the importance of research has increased substantially. “A lot of research happening in pavement design & concrete technology. Construction is more mechanized and the use of digital technology is spreading fast. New legislation like Fast-Tag has integrated the whole of India on one toll plaza. E-tendering is now a norm. Environment issues are more prominent and green technology is being used to reduce carbon footprints, “states Rajesh.

“We at CIVILBABA keep track of all the changes which are happening & about/expected to happen in near future.”
Striking a Work-Life Balance
The Civil Infrastructure Industry is a demanding one. Often, entrepreneurs involved in this sector lose track of their personal life. “The Civil Infrastructure sector is very demanding, works go on 24×7 and Government of the day is getting more and more ambitious to create infrastructure in the shortest time possible. This is putting a lot of pressure on Professional-Personal life balance,” says Rajesh.
To ensure a healthy balance between his personal and professional life, Rajesh makes it a point to gives adequate time and attention to both fronts.
For the professional front, he actively participates in the activities of ASSOCHAM, Consulting Engineer Association, IRC (India Road Congress), and other training programs in his free time.
On the personal front, he ensures that he takes enough time out for his family. He adds, “I try not to fix professional engagements on weekly holidays. Professional set up at CIVILBABA helped me a lot and now I enjoy holiday trips with family at least every year. A long weekend sometimes is a good time to spend with old friends or relatives to feel togetherness. A Message to Budding Entrepreneurs
Having been in the industry for decades, Mr. Jindal has acquired some timeless wisdom that he’d like to impart to young entrepreneurs. Here’s what he has to say: “In my life, I have learned that the key to success is to remain positive and take problems as an opportunity to learn something new. Live in the present, there is no defined success path, every individual is different, talk to yourself a lot, understand your strength & weakness and then decide your next course. “Those who dream most, do the most” but “to fulfill your dreams you must wake up”. We all are going through a tough time due to COVID-19, so take care of yourself & loved ones, follow experts’ advice, and stay healthy & happy.”
