Striking a Work-Life Balance

Often, entrepreneurs involved in this sector lose track of their personal life. “The Civil Infrastructure sector is very demanding, works go on 24×7 and Government of the day is getting more and more ambitious to create infrastructure in the shortest time possible. This is putting a lot of pressure on Professional-Personal life balance,” says Rajesh.
To ensure a healthy balance between his personal and professional life, Rajesh makes it a point to gives adequate time and attention to both fronts.
For the professional front, he actively participates in the activities of ASSOCHAM, Consulting Engineer Association, IRC (India Road Congress), and other training programs in his free time.
On the personal front, he ensures that he takes enough time out for his family. He adds, “I try not to fix professional engagements on weekly holidays. Professional set up at CIVILBABA helped me a lot and now I enjoy holiday trips with family at least every year. A long weekend sometimes is a good time to spend with old friends or relatives to feel togetherness. COVID-19 helped all of us to spend a lot of time with family and rekindle the light, which was somehow fading in the last many years due to profession.”
He also credits his wife, kids, and old friends for their understanding nature and being his source of strength amid tough times.
